Squating or Deadlifting???

Baby Gorilla......

Were you squating or deadlifting that weight? Cause I know you weren't bench pressing it...if I counted the plates properly that was 1015lbs!! I don't think you were doing anything with it...[7] Do you go to any powerlifting competitions? Sorry for all nonbike related questions. I actually go to powerlifting competitions thats why i was wondering....

Thanks, that's Lahna. She's a 9yr. old Belgian Malinois. She does good for her old age. Her nose is shot, but she still loves to bite.

I was using it for calves. It was 960 lbs. I've finally figured out their calf isolating machine, so I'm down to 135 that really is isloated on the calves themselves. A guy at SB.N told me that any extended leg motion utilizes more leg muscles and expands how much you can lift on calves. They have a donkey calf machine that maxs at 400. I use it to warm up.

Nope, no powerlifting. However, I keep dropping weight and finding more challenging techniques like dropping benching with bars and using dumbells only...so I don't know how much I could actually blow out 4 reps on with traditional motions.

I've been squatting 400 on the sled (was freeweighting 200 but machine negates body weight so I have to add another 200). I also do 180 on leg extensions for the definition.

My killer problem is that the key is to push until you can't do anymore. I blasted chest Monday (really burned the triceps), so Tuesday I didn't have much juice for the triceps. However, no matter what, with biceps, I run out of energy before I really get a good burn. The only way around that is less weight and do reps until you fail, but my routine calls to use max weight to reach failure in the min-max range. I'm still working that one out. [6]

DogBoneR1, what is with that hair? You look 19.

darkwing, lucky this isn't SB.N. A caption like that and a pic would just cry out for Photoshop time. [14] [6]
